Abacus Math Club
This class introduces students to mental math with a fun, hands-on abacus-based approach. The abacus is largely unknown in the Western educational tradition but has tremendous benefits in developing number sense and mental math fluency. Our simplified, but powerful approach quickly and efficiently fosters children’s mastery of numbers, their relationship and value, place values, and mental calculation. We include lots of movement, team building, play-based learning, and friendly competition in helping learners develop their mental math muscles, confidence, and love of the subject.
Young Writers and Publishers Workshop
This workshop will turn your young writer into a published author! Children have ideas that could be tremendously valuable. They just need help crafting, refining, and polishing those ideas. Wewalk young authors through ideation, storytelling, story arc crafting, “masterminding,”collaborating, descriptive writing, editing, cover designing, marketing, and more!
